two events in my artistic life this week
1) I sold a painting to a man in my church - Charles. My art business card has a picture of my Brant Point Lighthouse Sunrise and he decided to buy it. I have several prices
a) Pastor price - 100 dollars for people who feed my Christian Soul
b) Friend and Family - 150 - especially for people whose pictures I use and want to buy them
c) everyone else -200
d) free - wedding gifts and Christian camps that I do paintings of the property and donate them.
Charles is an artist himself and decided on the everyone else price. Pictures Below
2) I donated 3 of my paintings to Camp-of-the-Woods, a place that I have described in previous posts but suffice to say I am a third generation Camper. They have a webcam called the Campcam that is set up on one end of the beach and looks to the other end. It also swings to the sunset at the proper time. I gave them 2 paintings from the Campcam, sunset and winter, and on of an older building since demolished with a 3 branch tree that generations of families have take pictures on it. It was also taken down due to age.
I gave them to the front desk and the winter one was hung up immediately in the office because it has a snowman in it and the office staff built the snowman. There is a 3rd floor stairway in the main building with 3 of my previous paintings hanging up. Hope these three will join them. I plan to do a series of Campcam paintings for each season and nice sunsets.
