New painting - Cardinal on Snowy Chair

 Cardinal are on of my favorite birds. Love the red coloring. I see a few of them flying around my back yard in the winter. I don't know the provenance of this picture. I see it on Pinterest and other sites, so I'm sure I may hear back from whoever took this.

New Painting: COTW - Watching The Sunset

 As stated in previous posts, the Christian Family camp Camp-of-the-Woods in Speculator NY is one of my favorite places. My family has been going there for several generations. This particular time was a September Men's Retreat with the usual cast of sports figures, devotional meetings, good food and a pickle ball tournament. There are also great sunsets. This painting is of a man watching the sunset. As usual you can buy items based on this image from pixels  

New Painting - Amish Harvest

One of my favorite places in Lancaster Pa, with the colliding worlds of Amish Community and "the English" commercialism somehow coexisting. Cars and horse pulled buggies co-existing (more of less) on the sames road. Lots of barns with clothes hanging out on lines. One place I enjoy is Sights and Sounds, which is a Christian Theater with Bible story related production. Very popular.

I was a passenger and I was taking pictures out the window and it was a cool, misty not quite rainy day. We came from route 30 to Strasburg Road, passing by the Railroad museum, up route 896 to Sights and Sounds, with a stop at the Agape Cafe and Grille for lunch., Somewhere along the way, I took the picture this painting is based on, several Amish farmers harvesting their corn using 3 horses and a wagon, out a mist streaked window with the car in motion. I have several other photos I may use. This is 11x14 oil on canvas board.

I had to go online to find similar photos, because I could not tell if the driver was standing or sitting. The pictures I found show both to be the case so I left him standing. As usual you can buy images of this painting via Pixels

Bergen County Art show leads to Instagram sale

Oct  16th was the Bergen County Art Show at Van Saun Park in Paramus. I registered but it's so popular that i did not get in in time. However, 4 days before the show I get a call that there was a cancellation, including getting the schedule I need at Staples. The show was 11 am to 3:30, so I scheduled for 3 and left the show at 2:30. I had prayed for one and had done some preparation for it, plus I had done it before so all the tools I needed were in place. I still had to hashtag all the paintings  I was going to use on Instagram and created a QR code for it and put on my artist sign. Scan and check them out

And here a few photos.It was a beautiful day. I had posted on Facebook and did a friend invite, but few showed up except the usuals, who were mostly people I knew from high school (50 years ago) - John Dunic (who also displayed) Robert Lanotte , Paul Scelzo (being the forever photographer) , Jim Tedesco (now County Executive) and Steve Witko and girlfriend plus John and Vicky Bellis

Now for the Instagram sale. Another fellow Class of 71 alumni Lynda Pasqueretta message me about this picture saying

New Painting - Brant Point Thunder Storm

 Brant Point Lighthouse is one of my favorite lighthouses as I've mentioned a few times in this blog.  Ive done a number of paintings and I'm always looking for a different take on it. I found this picture on Instagram but neglected to include the page name as I usually do. I'm posting it there, so I may find out. I love thunder storms and this is a prime example of both subjects. He lives during the year in Florida, so who knows where it will end up
